MetaForm is a pure blooded west coaster, Justice Aaron was born in LA and graduated from San Fransisco State University. He began playing music at a very young age, most notably the piano at 7. Working as a free lance engineer, Aaron had the privilege of working with a few big names such as Jazzy Jeff and Africa Bambatta. Before Electric Mist, MetaForm's major work was "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" a work composed entirely of samples.
Metaform is one of the most quality names in instrumental hip hop, delving into some trip hop and experimental genres in the new album. Listening to him brings about a variety of related artists to mind like Tipper, the Gorillaz, RJD2, and Ratatat. Some have compared his work to DJ Shadow. This new work is a must listen.
